I recently bought a new Fender Champion 100 and if i play with my volume over 4 on both clean and gain channel it cuts out on chords and slowly fades back in. Is it a wiring issue?

Return on warranty , nothing you can fix yourself.

This type of symptom is due to a speaker wire that is not up to snuff. Most likely a bad connection at the speaker plug. Work it in and out a few times and see if it doesn't get better.

I love your determination to fix TimsAudio, but when I get something brand spanking new and it doesn't work? That bad-boy goes right back to the manufacturer. Let it be a message to Fender that they need to clamp down on QC. It costs them money to process a return. I think that's an important message to send. Don't be an enabler!

Guilty as charged! Yes, I can't help it. when the light goes on, I gotta respond. Not so much for the OP today, but that's a common, but elusive symptom that someone may find handy in the future.
I wouldn't suggest not to use the warranty if there is a real problem. This one sounded like a nuisance failure that may disappear during the ride over to the service center. I've watched it ruin a set for a minor wiggle.
From the perspective of most factorys, it doesn't make a blip until service returns exceed 2 percent. Even then, it seldom results in an engineering change, just a QC note for factory inspectors or a service bulletin for techs.
The service centers usually get paid a low flat rate for warranty repair for the honor of being an authorized dealer. Nobody wants to ship them back though, so exchanges are run through service and put back in inventory.

+1000!

They'll keep selling junk so long as someone is willing to buy it.

Back in our R&R days, I bought a BG-250 bass amp with an 18/12 cab for my wife. After a couple of hours on the first trip out, smoke came out of the speakers! I shipped the speakers and the head back to Cerwin Vega, and they fixed all, and it sounded great again. A couple of months later it went into low output, shipped it to California, they found nothing wrong, and shipped it back. A couple of months later same thing, I asked to speak to customer service, and told him I was getting fed up. He sent me another amp, and other than the power switch, it gave no more problems!
Send it back and let Fender fix it, or replace it!
