Hello !
I suggest the pertut! Because I'm not twelve but sixty-two (past) .If the PC has a microphone input. If there is a webcam on the PC. Then you can make music recording with your parents and Dad and Mum. Please use your parents' permission / assistance to upload.
Warning! Internet is a dangerous plant. Only if your parents agreed, then do it. Otherwise NO!

Hi Grace,
Welcome to our forum.

You're going to want to use the "balanced line out" on the back of your amp, which takes an XLR connection.
XLR is the usual connector type for microphone cables and a number of other audio devices, including the line-out on your amp.

To do any sort of reasonably good recording on your computer you will need an "interface".
An interface goes between your amp and your computer and helps them communicate with each other.
They range in price from about $50 for a cheapie to about $300 - $500 for a decent one to $3,000+ for a professional one.

You will also want some kind of DAW software.
DAW stands for Digital Audio Workstation.
Some DAW programs are easy to use and intuitive.
Others are harder to learn but they may provide more features.
They may .... not always.
Again, prices vary greatly.
I suggest you use a search engine to find something within any budget constraints you might have.

Personally, I would recommend you place more importance on the device than the software.
There is something called "latency" inherent in most interfaces, which is essentially a kind of time lag.
The better ones have lower latency and are less frustrating to use.

If you are having difficulty understanding these terms and concepts you should spend some time studying them on the internet.

One word of advice, don't get the first thing that seems to be suitable.
Spend some time learning the pros and cons of each device you are interested in.

When I first started computer recording I bought a couple of lower end systems that were bundled together; meaning the interface came with a limited version of a DAW package.
I think my first one was a cheap TASCAM unit that came bundled with CuBase LT (LT stands for light).
It was fine for very simple recording but dubbing and editing could be a bit frustrating.
Dubbing is recording a 2nd part while keeping the first part.
For example, if you were going to sing and play a song, you might choose to play the song on guitar first without singing so that you can concentrate on your playing and not mess up.
Then dub over it with singing, allowing you to concentrate on the singing and remembering the lyrics.
There are other uses for dubbing as well.
Like if you wanted to add a bass guitar or a harmonica or sing a harmony part, etc.
This is when latency becomes important.

Good luck in your studies.
You have some homework to do.

Hello !
In the aftermath: I find it important to go to music teachers, music schools, to play music, to teach and to learn. Even for separate classes. Good learning ! Good results on exams!

Hi Grace, what you want to do can be a little complicated, but I'll share the easiest way I know. First we need a little more information.

1. Do you know what brand/model computer?
2. Do you have a wire like this (it's the same connector you use for headphones)?

That's a hand-held recorder typically used for bootleg concert recordings or capturing jams, etc.
I don't own one but I have to assume you get one take and it's either good or bad and you don't know until you play back, which by that time the moment is gone.
I can see where it might be a handy device and it is possible it could be used for your purposes but in my world it could not replace recording on the computer.
For the same price as that recorder TASCAM sells the US-1X2 interface and it comes bundled with DAW software.

I think the best advice I can give you would be to chew on it for a while before laying out your cash.
Be honest with yourself about what are your needs and what are you desiring.
The musician life often gives us a choice between what we need and what we want.
Only you can make that choice.

Hey Gracie, what model PC? Most PCs will have at least these 3 jacks. If you let me know what model PC I can tell you for sure. If it has these, you would connect from the "PHONES" jack on the amp to the blue jack on the PC.

Your average Android phone or iPhone can do pretty much the same job these days.

If there is no "line in" as varga jano shows above, then it can plug into the MIC input on the PC, but you have to keep the volume coming out of the amp very low. It should still work.
