I recently picked up a Fender Hotrod 3. I had a chance to put it through its paces this morning and was greeted with an annoying buzz on the lower strings on my guitar. I tightened up all the screws (which were loose) and it helped a bit, but the buzz still remains. Anyone else experience this issue?

Mechanical buzz ?
You look at all the screws ? Transformers, chassis, speaker , back panel , baffle ... You check all them ?

Or some small part is drop on the speaker's cone. Remove speaker.
It's happened to me

I checked as much as I could but what I thought was buzzing is actually more of a distortion sound, like the drive is engaged ever so slightly. At low volumes it's not a problem but increases with clean gain. So I guess I'll take it back to the store and see if they can hear it.

Yeah stratele. I think it is definitely breaking up at lower volume. Might just be a tube. I'll get it into a tech.
