I have a new Bassbreaker combo 15. I bought a Boss Waza CE-2W to use in the effects loop of the Bassbreaker. The Bassbreaker has the updated effects loop send jack (black plastic). When I turn on the Boss Waza CE-2W, with the guitar volume turned all of the way down, there is a hiss and a warbling "bump" noise thats bumps in time with the rate that the chorus pedal is set to. I checked the Boss Waza CE-2W manual and the nominal input and output levels are -20 dBu i.e. instrument level. If I hook the pedal up in front of the amp the pedal is silent when turned on. I am unable to find what the dBu level of the Bassbreaker effect loop send is, but based on the warbling hiss I am getting from the pedal in the effects loop I am guessing the Bassbreaker effects loop send signal is much hotter than the instrument level, correct? Is this bad for the pedal? If the the effect loop send is hotter than instrument level then I would also assume that the effects loop return is expecting a hotter signal than instrument level, but the Boss Waza CE-2W manual states that the pedal output is -20 dBu i.e. instrument level. I am assuming the Bassbreaker effects loop is a series connection between the preamp and output stage. Is the diminished output of the Boss Waza CE-2W going to choke the total output of the amp? I like using the distortion (2nd and 3rd gain stacks of the Bassbreaker). Am I going to have to use the Boss Waza CE-2W out front of the amp even though chorus before distortion is suboptimal?
