I am looking for advise on other users amp settings. I would like a good clean country rhythm , lead (clean), dirty sound, and a good distortion sound. Any advise would be appreciated. Just looking for a good general setting to tweak. Have played bluegrass acoustic for many years, I understand acoustic tone. This is my first electric and I don’t know much yet. Playing a Telecaster.

Thanks
Shawn

Your best bet would be to experiment on your own and see what works for you . Everybody has their own personal tastes when it comes to amp settings.

You might begin your self-tutorial by reading the owner/operator manual for the amp......

I just read the manual and it pretty much says all. Looks like a nice amp.

Do you have an Ibanez Tube Screamer (any model)?

I don’t have any effect pedals. Looking at the Keeley tone station... 3 effects. Everything just sounds muddy and not pleasant to my ears yet. I may have bought an amp too big for the room I’m playing in?

So something I've been messing with lately .... Stevie Ray Vaughan used to plug a Tube Screamer in front of the input and he would turn the LEVEL knob all the way up, and then mix in the DRIVE knob until it sounds "right". It doesn't take much and when his SR was cranked, he need the DRIVE at all.

Now it's really a tube amp trick, but it also works with solid state amps to change the overall tonal quality. I'm not an SRV fanboy and not trying to sound like him at all. But I do like the sounds I'm getting working my TS9 that way.

The other really big factor for me is at this point I MUST have a compressor pedal. I can't even tell you how much it improves the overall sound when set properly. If you are looking to pick up pedals at any point, I would suggest you try that at your local music store to see if it is what you're looking for.
