Alright guys and gals, I need some help with a 1994 Fender Bassman (pre ltd). I have wanted one of these for a long time and finally found one yesterday on CL that is in great shape for a great price. Tested the amp and it sounded great. Once I get it home (yeah i know), it seems to me that 3 speakers have all of the output and one (the top right if looking at the amp) seems really low or possibly no output at all. I swapped some of the speaker connections around and sure enough 3 speakers create output regardless of which output and the one seems extremely low or no sound at all (interestingly enough, I can't tell). So while pulling the speakers out to see if I could visually see issues with the leads or the speaker I noticed that 3 of the speakers are Jensen 2200140 and the dead one is a Jensen 2200511. Not sure if this information makes a difference or not. Nonetheless everything appears fine. Is one of the speakers designed to have a lower frequency response or something? Or am I a complete idiot and the one speaker is bad. All of the tubes seem great, but if you have suggestions on a retube please let me know as I am looking for maximum headroom and warmth. I play a custom shop jazzmaster with walls of reverb and delay. Thanks in advance. Before you call me too much of an idiot though - I did get the amp for $275 with a custom road case!

My guess is the 2200511 one is bad. Manufacturer's date seems later than the others (2005, 11th week?). Are they all the same model speakers?

You need to see a qualified tech do do bias on power tubes and to look for burn resistors
