I may have used this amp for 10 minutes since I got it. I plugged in my Fender acoustic today and all I'm getting is some static whether I'm on the clean channel or the effects channel.

The power light is on, and I can switch between channels. All lights are working, just no sound from speaker.

I've had it about 2 weeks. What should I check before trying to get in touch with Fender?

Take it back to where you bought it.

It's a $200 amp, let Fender figure it out.

Do you have sound with headphones plugged in? It may be the contacts in the headphone jack that disconnect the speaker when headphones are plugged in. Or you may have a flaky input jack.

Bought it online? It's a 200$ amp, you'll have to send it back, but they'll probably just send you another. It's at this point I would caution you not to buy anything you can't try first, (especially amplifiers) but I realize that's not possible always.

The more money Fender spends on returns, the more likely they might do something about their QC and quit relying on marketing goobs to keep them solvent. They won't sell many amps when no one can trust them to work they most need to. Witness the name changes to guitar lines, recently. A co-worker used to say to me, "where confusion abounds, there's money to be made." We didn't work in marketing, we were technicians that had to keep substation equipment working (and protected from hacking) so people actually had electricity in their homes. A far cry from repairing old 2-way radios with tube finals. I digress, but I've decided to make that quote my sig.

Send it back and ask for a refund . Don't waste your money on those. I would go and buy the earlier version which was better made and more dependable.
