Hi guys, new to the forum. Just recently got a new ML Deville. While playing last night and setting up Volume 1 and Volume 2 exactly the same on the both controls, I noticed that when switching between the two there was a noticeable difference in the actual levels. I had to turn volume 2 louder by about a half notch to have both equally loud. So with Volume 1 on "2.5" and Volume 2 on "3", they sounded the same level-wise when switching between them. I wasn't using the boost, just switching volumes.
Has anybody noticed this on their ML Deville? Just wondering.....

I looked over a review of this amp and it describes different voices for the two channels. So I wouldn't be surprised by a volume difference.

I posted that mod back in January 2017 and again in June 2017. I told you guys back then not to tell anybody. How did Fender find out? Somebody's a leaker. Now everybody's gonna know.

If you have a standard HRDX, you can modify it to do the same as the ML version and just have two clean channels.
Put a switch on the coil of relay 2. This prevents the overdrive circuitry from engaging. I usually got a new master control with a switch on it. That way, when you turn down the master, it clicks and now its two clean channels. The More drive adds gain, not distortion.
The volume controls still switch. You can mod the caps there for custom tones.
