Looking to connect a distortion pedal (any pedal for that matter) after the tube overdrive in the signal chain, then route the output of the distortion into the speaker. Is this possible? Thanks in advance!

Not possible in the way you describe.

The preamps in the SCXD are entirely solid state. The clean channel is analog solid state, the other channel is analog and digital solid state.

The 12AX7 is a phase inverter/phase splitter. After the preamps. It's the driver for the power tubes.

When driven to high volumes the 12AX7 and power tubes do distort. But you can't really tap in between the phase inverter and power tubes.

The 12AX7 is a dual triode tube -- two separate devices in one glass envelope. It takes the signal from the preamp and splits it into two -- one positive driving one power tube, and one negative mirror image driving the other power tube. "Push pull."

Your goal is similar to Edward Van Halen's original set up. He ran a Plexi into a loadbox attenuator, fed that signal into effects, and then sent the effects output to a second amp. You'd have to do something similar.

To be clear, you are asking if it is possible to plug the speaker directly into the output of the overdrive (or effects) chain, and plug the speaker output of the amp into the input of the effects?
If so, no.
The amp's output is at too high of a level for the effects input, and the effect output is not sufficient (nor the correct impedance) to drive the speakers.

Overdrive/distortion, wah, volume, and compression go between the instrument and the amp.
Modulation effects (phase/flange), delay/reverb, and a looper can go in the effects loop if the amp has one, if not, then they would go last in the chain ahead of the amp.
