Hello, so today i got a jensen c12n to replace the stock speaker and when i installed it and turned the amp on there was a weird noise at first, i checked the connections for the speaker and that the amp is set at 8ohms and then i took a look at the tubes and found that the seccond el84 had the plate glowing red.
I tried swapping the 2 and the red plating follows the tube socket.
i dont know how can the bias be wrong if the amp does the biasing itself and why did this happen right after the installation of the nbew speaker, is it a coincidence?
I also put back the stock speaker and even tried running into a external cab and still the same.
I need help.

There is a resistor issue on this socket or broken solder .

You need to open the amp . With what you say there is nothing to do with new speaker, if it is a real 8 ohms

Thanks for the answer, its still under waranty so i sent it to the shop, i did open the amp to check for bad soldering but everything seemed fine.
Its just weird that this happened right after i changed the speaker, i guess its a coincidence.
Also now have new jj tubes waiting for the amp to come home.

Yep. You can tell by looking that something is bad. You must test to be able to say that something is good.
