Don't come here much..

Pretty shocked at the number of people who come here to whine about their amp issues

Take your amp to a qualified dealer (it's why Fender has a Warranty) instead of spamming up a forum

Why do you think they don't ?

Some place are too small to have a Fender qualified tech or service center
Over years I read few forum member having issue with some Fender service Center.

See today here ;

So I go through the motions suggested by fender, take my amp to the long time fender dealer I got it from and……they moved. Drive all the way to their new shop and……they closed. Hurray! I ask fender what to do and by the time I get a reply my warranty has expired.

Most Fender amps comes with a 5 year warranty, and are designed to last much longer.

I do see a few threads in this section of the forum where the person just bought the amp brand new from a dealer and now they are starting to troubleshoot. Bring those lemons straight back to the lemonade stand.

There's no qualified dealers anywhere near me that does Fender amp warranty work. How about the thing works like it's supposed to? I luckily figured out my problem was bad factory installed tubes. Not acceptable.

At work I sometimes have to roll out hundreds or even thousands of the same exact device at a time. Computers, Tablets, Chromebooks, etc. You don't realize how many "duds" any particular manufacturer sends out until you deal with that kind of volume. They all have bad eggs.

Yep.
2% infantile failure rate is pretty good in some industries, but it always sucks to be one of the 20 customers out of 1000 who got the bad one.
Most consumer items are significantly below that generally due to QC inspection, but a bad one is going to make it out the door every now and then.

If you can’t deal with the fact of life that tubes fail, sometimes in a hour, a week, 3 months, several years, you should switch to solid state amps.......oh, wait, they have issues too. I guess you’ll just have to stop using any kind of amplifier, if failures are “unacceptable” to you.

I just kind of expect brand new things to work. That's all. Sorry

I know what you mean. However, even new things have been failing since the beginning of history. Not even parachutes are 100%. :shock:

Many people have distorted memories about the “good ole days”, and think that failures are only a modern occurance. Apparently they are not remembering that there were tube testers in every drug store, and thriving repair businesses for tube equipment. And yes, even Leo Fender had stacks of brand new amps in his shop for repair. :shock:
