This is the pedal?

Image

Looks about as straight-forward as it can get. For the sake of troubleshooting:

1. Take all other pedals out of your signal path

2. Plug your GUITAR into the INPUT ON THE PEDAL

3. Plug another wire into the INPUT ON THE AMP and connect it to OUTPUT ON THE PEDAL

4. Remove anything you've got in the effects loop

Try again, anything from the pedal? Do you get sound from the guitar, but no reverb effect?

Did you put a battery in the pedal, or hook up a power supply to the pedal?

Some Mooer pedals are too small for a battery so must have a power source connected

It does need a 9v DC adapter as it does not have a place to put a battery. Did it get wall power or did you skip this part

Use only a good 9 volts AC adapter, a cheap one will make noise in the amp.
Universal wallwart adapter are not good

This is actually a two-part problem.

1: Where is the pedal? I encountered this problem myself with my shimmer reverb. Normally, reverb, or any other modulation should be in the effects loop. However, a shimmer reverb seems to rely on the pre-amp for the shimmer to function correctly. Or at least the Matthews Effects Astronomer does anyway. In the effects loop, the reverb works, but not the shimmer. As such, to get the full use out of it, it needs to be going into the front of the amp, not the effects loop.

2: As others have mentioned, you do need a power cable that was specifically made for pedals. The generic stuff you get at Walmart will do bad things to your pedals. Don't make that mistake. Go to your local music shops. Any music shops worth existing will have power cables. If you can afford it, go for a high-quality brand, such as Stymon.
