Hey all,

First post here. Sorry if I bring up anything that’s been covered before, searching the forum didn’t bring up anything useful.

I have a problem with my <2 year old Princeton 65 reissue. For a while now I’ve been getting a toasty, fuzzy, crackle sound coming from the amp persistently and it’s driving me insane!

It occurs just ast the tubes are warm, as does it with no guitar plugged in, volume down and Reverb unit unplugged.

The tubes - 5AR4 and the 6V6’s seemed to be glowing fine, haven’t unplugged or looked at the 12ax’s or 12at yet. I’m a rookie at this so don’t want to do more damage.

Any advice would be very much appreciated!!
