So i have a fender deluxe reverb reissue, and i'll rt by saying that i am using an A/B selector switch so that i can have channel A go from my guitar, through my pedal chain, and into the amp's normal channel into input 1. Channel B goes from guitar straight into amp's vibrato channel into input 2. AND THEN, i am channel jumping with a small patch chord from Normal channel input 2, into Vibrato channel input 1. So all 4 inputs on the amp are in use. Sometimes at the same time. (Vibrato in pedal chain makes for insainely cool chorus effect)... I just came up with this yesterday and i am worried it could be bad for my amp?? Everthing sounds pretty healthy unless i have both cannels on and the vibrato pedal and too mu overdrive.. Then it does kind of a siren noise at the rate of the vibrato pedal in use... But it can be avoided by brining volume down or finding sweet spot on guitar volume... Please let me know if i am doing damage. I cant afford new tubes ebery week or a melted amp. Thank you very much for wrapping your head around my weird idea, but it SOUNDS INCREDIBLE so try it if its not dangerous..

That is a pretty good indication that something isn't right.

Unlike some other two-channel amps with multiple inputs, the two channels on the DRRI are 180 degrees out of phase with each other. So, the DRRI is going to react differently than other amps to channel jumping. The channel jumping is further complicated when you use two inputs, one into each channel, meaning that you are taking a little of each channels' input into the other channel, and then mixing two hot signals that are out of phase at the output of the V4 tube.

Sounds like you are getting some weird kind of oscillation, or you are simply overloading the amp input. Either way, I wouldn't do it to my amp.

Remove the jumper, leaving all else the same and see if you have the same issue.

It's actually very difficult to damage components in an amp by playing it. Extended periods of feedback oscillation can be a little hard on power tubes.
So if it sounds good, play it that way. Just don't push it past that sweet spot.

Stop that whining! Or I'll turn this car around.
But seriously, there are A/B pedals that fix the channel phase problem. But the whining can't be a good thing. That's feedback.
Jumping channels on a blackface amp doesn't really improve anything because two-channel blackface amps are not like two-channel tweed Fenders or Marshalls. You can mod them so both channels are in-phase and get reverb/vibrato on both channel. And it won't whine. I think.
