I purchased a Hot Rod Deluxe III Tweed and unboxed it. I turned the amp on and it made a loud crack and blew the fuse.
After replacing the fuse, the amp turns on but zero sound. All tubes are lit and I've tested all the obvious (connections, cord etc...) Any suggestions?

Did you ear some hiss at loud volume , no guitar plug in the amp ?
No hiss ; Output tube (s) could be bad. Return on warranty or replace 6L6s.

Hiss; nothing you can do.Return on warranty

Tube lit don't mean tubes are working.
Be sure you put same kind of fuse

The noise and fuse blowing happens in a matter of seconds.
I did notice that the left tube glowed a bright blue just before the fuse blew. I'm going to test that tube today and see what I can do from there. Bummer that I just bought the amp and need it for a gig on New Year's.. doesn't look like that's going to happen!

One tube is bright blue ; tubes is short, don't use amp until you put 2 new 6L6s

Shorted tube can fry some caps and resistors.

Plus the tubes have a 90 day warranty.

Do new Fenders still come with Groove Tubes with "hardness" ratings? If so you'll need to find an identically marked one to match the other tube and to avoid having to rebias the amp.

Or replace both power tubes and rebias.

You might be better off contacting the online retailer and see if they can do an expedited exchange.

Or contact a nearby Fender Authorized Service Center and see if they can do expedited service.

This shouldn't give you a bad feeling about Fender quality control or anything like that.

Even in normal times shipping companies handle packages harshly. Especially big heavy packages.

But during the Christmas rush they toss them, heave them, bounce them, tumble them, drop them. And when they land relatively flat the box will give no indication of the abuse.

Tubes are tougher than many people think, but overworked overpressured underpaid package handlers can break them.

personally, if I buy something brand new and it doesn't work the first time I turn it on, I don't start troubleshooting. I exchange it for a different one.

It’s not like it’s a rare amp.
Those amps can be found anywhere and most outlets will have several in stock at any given time, particularly over the Christmas season..
I would never bother wasting my own time, effort and money trying to fix an amp broken straight out of the box.
I would return it immediately for a replacement.

My two cents.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
