Hello,

I bought 2 weeks ago, bassbreaker 15 head.
I tried today at my place finally with different configuration.
The amp plugged on the wall outlet (grounded) and also I tried using a power conditioner (grounded)

Everytime, I turn on the amp there is a 'hum' coming from the amp. (at first I thought it was broken or something wrong ...)
I found this on youtube it's really similar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCfgVpGKjeQ

If I plug my guitar .. even clean sound a very low level it's getting worse.
I have no motivation to play with this sound 'hum' ... and there is no way to think about recording something ...

I bought many fender product during the past 10 years, but this is the first time something like this happen to me.
Do you think there is a way to get refund, just because of that 'hum' noise or probably the shop can send it to fender customer service ?
I bought it's, but it's completely useless for me with this terrible 'hum'

PS : I bought it in Japan, in a Japanese music store and of course the model was exported for Japan. (and yes I am using it in Japan, so I don't think there is any incompatibility concerning power/voltage)

Thank you

Amp should be quiet.
Japan use 100 volts, North America ; 125 volts. If amp is made for exported in Japan it should be ok

I understand noise is there with no guitar plugged . I'll return on warranty for a new one and try in store before

Thanks for answer @stratele52 .

Back here after few hours/days using the amp.
I tried to change few things, especially concerning the position of my gear.
And for some reasons it seems to be better right now.
When turn on the amp, there is still a 'hum' but it's only coming from the amp, I believe ... It must be 'normal' (?)
Maybe it was confuse for me at first, especially because I am playing in a very quiet environment right now, so even a very small noise coming from gear, I can hear it (and probably I focus too much on it)
Also .. I understood I am probably too much exacting, and most of amp will make noise at hi-gain/level.

I play with different guitar on the amp now, and also bought a NS-2 boss pedal, to avoid any very small noise coming from anywhere ... and it helps a lot !

Ok that's it !

It was important for me to answer my message not to leave a negative feeling about the amp.

Hum or other noise may come from electrical or electronical appliances.

Smart phone, PC, neon light, electrical motor....may induce noise in a amp.

Check also guitar and bad cable and effect pedals.
