I am looking for a second amp to use at home. So smaller is good. I already have a Champion 100 but it is too big to lug from room to room all the time. I would like one with tube warmth and software programable presets. An LCD to dial up the presets would be nice but not mandatory. Music styles include all early 60s rock, surf, Duane Eddy, Beatles, etc and maybe some simple jazz. I prefer to not have to use pedals. Many amps including my Champ 100 limit the effects that can be used together, such as you cannot use reverb and flanger at the same time. Is this overcome by the software?
What would you recommend I test out?
Thanks

The Super Champ X2 would be a good choice. It's very similar to your Champion 100, except that it has a tube output stage and connects to Fuse software. Fuse lets you mix different effects together. All of the tweaks you do to the amp models and effects can be saved to the amp. After you have things set up the way you like, you don't need to have Fuse connected. The SCX2 sounds great at bedroom volumes, and can hold its own in a band situation. The one thing I wish it had is a headphone jack.
