Any suggestions on pedals that will match up with my new Bassbreaker 15? I play a LP Standard 2016. Musical taste is diverse - Lumineers through to G Day / Soundgarden.

Loving the new amp btw!

Thanks!

I too have a Fender Bassbreaker 15 Limited Edition Lacquered Tweed with the Celestion Greenback speaker.

For the first few weeks, I thought the amp was under powered, and sounded thin. However, after breaking it in, it now sounds amazing.

As far as pedals go, I havent tried a pedal that hasnt sounded awesome through this amp. One thing I have noticed is that there isnt much volume in the clean channel with the gain turned down, so using a clean boost has helped the amp quite a bit in that regard.

What pedals do you currently have?

Its pretty difficult to offer specific pedal recommendations for a wide range of musical interests.

Are there categories of pedals (e.g. compressor, distortion, overdrive, delay, fuzz, etc....) you are interested in? Maybe people can make recommendations from there.

What I can say is that the amp does a decent job of giving you an overdriven and distorted tone already, so if you do not have any pedals yet, you might want to start with modulation and run them through the effects loop.

Thanks for the reply;

I have been messing around with a few pedals - TS mini which I really like. I also have a MXR 78 badass which is okay thinking of something different though (maybe a Catlainbread Dirty Little Secret to get a nice Marhall tone). I also have a TC minin chorus and TC mini flashback - i like these pedals with clean tones but I can't run through the fx loop as it is very noisy - apparently a known issue so the amp will be going in for the repair shortly.

I agree on the clean setting, I use the mid gain setting with the gain set at 10 o clock or so. EQ it have bass at 10 oclock, mids near max and treble at 2 oclock. Master is bedroom level - around 8 oclock but this eq seems to work for me with my LP / burstbuckers.

This is my second amp as the first one was defective (power issue) and this one has had the power tubes replaced as they were faulty. After the initial disappointments I do like the amp a lot. Sounds great when the wife is out shopping and cranked!

Still in experimentation phase though, thinking of getting a mini reverb (TC HOF) as not a fan of the on board reverb.

Too bad it did not come with a foot switch as the different gain voicings are great but on the mid channel with pedals you can get a nice clean / verge of break up tone which can be sculpted as you wish.

My music tasted are very diverse, from Lumineers to Soungarden - this amp fits in nice as far as this goes.

Enjoy your amp.
