Can any one steer me to a site where I can get the real Cyber Commander for Cyber Twin. I have finally gotten around to fixing my encoder, and would love to be able to download and re-arrange the settings, and make new ones inside a PC. All help is appreciated. Thanks from Smashville, TN.

Hi Mark,
You are not alone in desiring Cyber Commander software. I have been looking for about the last 6 mos and so far, no luck. I don't know if you know, but I have read that some users of Cyber Commander software have been unable to install it on their new computers due to the license key being associated only with the original computer said software was installed on.

Further, you will get fantastic real time control of your CT if you set up a midi controller like a UC33; you can use such a set up with or without a computer. I have a few long explanations of my set up on this forum and over at fendertalk forum.

Not sure if this is what commander was like but it looks like something.....first time I've seen software like this in a long time.

First link is a video of operation, second link is the site itself

Wow! I need to look deeper into this. The first few times I tried to follow that link, I was redirected to nothing related. I just bought an SE to go along with my FE and would love to get this working :D

Until Fender comes up with a sustainable software platform, I'm personally steering clear of any Fender gear that uses an app of any kind.

The author of CC never got official support from Fender..that basically killed his business.

??? there is no app really required
you can program Cyber Twins to your heart’s content, manually scrolling through menus and tapping buttons...but, you must be within reach of the Cyber Twin’s controls...and a Cyber Twin does not sound best when your ears are so close or if the speakers are below you...you need to be in the optimum amp throw...hence the innovation of remote programming...you will get better results and get those results faster
General Cyber Systems’ Cyber Commander just makes programming a CT much, much faster

So the Cyber Twin is a little before my time. But as far as Mustang v1 ~ Mustang GT, these amps were sold with the added web functionality and app controls as part of the package (I paid for it, thus I would like to ...ya know... have it).

No, you don't NEED Fender Fuse to operate a Mustang III amplifier, but for example ... how else can you create a backup of your presets?

My CT fell over in our equipment van, the 'value data' knob was pushed in causing erratic selection. I used the Cyber Commander software to save my presets, incase they were lost while at my tech's repair shop.

They weren't lost but if they had been, I could have easily 'uploaded' back to my CT.

I don’t have any experience with Mustang amps, so I don’t know. With Cyber Twin or any sysex device that has the ability to back up presets/programs via midi, then free Midi-Ox can help. It isn’t as difficult to use once you try a couple times. Midi-Ox is a windows program.

Also, I have realized that it is quite simple to program quite a few parameters on CT 1st or 2nd edition with a midi controller as I have described previously in this forum :-) Once your midi controller is set up, tweak away...then you can save...you have to manually walk over to the amp(s) and press save and maybe twist dials to write a program name...yet it is pretty easy.

I just got the chance over the past few days to get my 2nd CT going and it was utterly painless to daisy chain my midi controller from CT FE to my newly acquired SE. Plug it all in and, bang, it just works!

Plus I purchased a G Lab LMS-1 to split guitar signal to 4 outs now feeding 3 preamps into 4amps (CT FE; CT SE; Digitech GSP2101 stereo out to Princeton 65 and newly acquired Tech 21 Power Engine 60. Multiple amps are actually pretty amazing, imo. Makes it easy to play with a huge sound at low volume.

In case someone finds this thread in future and doesn't see my other posts, TouchOSC app will cover a lot of what Cyber Commander does. It takes some set up and application/ learning about midi and sysex. Sadly, the copy protection on Cyber Commander makes trying it a non-starter.
One thing's for sure, TouchOSC looks A LOT nicer than CC! And TouchOSC can be used wirelessly.
