I have a 2013 vibro king I recently picked up. It seems to have no bass response from the control knob. Very little difference between off or full on.

I know this amp from the demos are a bright amp but should there be a difference in tone with the bass on or off?

I would not expect to hear much bass out of the tone stack.
Where standard tone stack caps are 250pF treble, .1uf bass, & .047 mid, the Vibroking uses 150pf treble, .047 bass, &.02uF mid.
The low bass is restricted by the. 047.

I'm trying to like this amp but if this is normal I may have to move on.

The amp is just so bright, pearcing and at volumes under 3. I checked and set the bias at 0.46mv, it didn't help with overly bright tone.

Every guitar I have has single coils so a little bass is nice, especially in such a touch sensitive.

That's not normal.
The VibroKing is a very deep sounding amplifier.
You would be very hard pressed to find an amp, any amp, with bigger balls.
There is something wrong.
Don't sell it just yet.
Find a good amp tech in your area and make use of those services.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
