Hello all... I recently installed a new speaker in my 2014 BJ3 (80w Weber California). This is the first mod I've done to the amp since I got it new, besides a few tubes changes. A few days after the install, I was playing and heard loud buzzing/popping, like the sound of plugging a guitar in. I turned the amp off, wiggled the tubes, and no more noises... This morning (a day or two after the popping) I turned it on to play, and I noticed that the volume of the amp had decreased tremendously (by about half). I now have to have the master around 6 to get the same volume I got before on 3. It also seems a great bit of tone has been sucked out. Does anyone know what the issue could be? I think it may be the tubes, but I'm no amp specialist... :?

Bad solder ?
Resistor burn because output tubes issue or other issue ?
Output tubes ?

Without seeing the amp and do some test I can't say more.
New output tube need a bias adjustments.

When the volume drops by half, you probably have a blown power tube. Maybe 1 side of a phase inverter tube v3.
Start by removing one of the EL84 power tubes. Turn it on and see if there is any sound. It will sound funny, but both should sound the same. If so, put it back in and try the other EL84. If one makes no sound, its bad.
If both work, try swapping V2 & V3. If the sound goes away or comes back to normal, the v3 tube is probably bad.
