I'd want just my POD XTLive.

I have a vast collection of pedal from the past four decades yet I can easily dial in the tone I need with just my POD and a clean Fender tube amp in seconds.

and it would be nice to have the Boss Chromatic tuner for quick tuning.

Very close:

1. Ibanez Tube Screamer TS-9
2. Boss Flanger BF-2
3. Boss Analog Delay DM-3 or MXR Carbon Copy

close to me too

1.Ibanez TS-9
2.Boss Ce-2 Chorus
3.Reverb

So many to choose from...but I'll say...

1) Boss Blues Driver
2) Digitech RP-50
3) Crybaby wah

It'd be hard to leave my DOD Stereo Chorus out, though...

If the amp in question doesn't have tremolo, A good tremolo pedal (any suggestions? Right now I'm leaning toward the Boss TR2)

If I could sneak in two more, it would have to be the Boss TU2 Tuner and a Dunlop Crybaby...but I don't know where I could hide them to sneak them in  .

the first thing i'd do is suss out where to plug in. Then once i'd sorted that i'd just turn my amp way up. never heard any effect better than an old amp on the verge of catching fire. Once its blazing, i've got somewhere to cook my fish dinner.

seriously

my tokai delay, it adds a kind of lowfi sound (nearly like a tape echo) even when its not on.
the burford fuzz im buying monday. boutique quality for less than a boss pedal.

I still stand by a compressor for the first pedal. First you get gain to help with your overdrive (Tubescreamer, MT-2, whatever), second you control dynamics which is a MUST on certain types of playing. And then there is the issue of getting sustain, priceless.

I'm thinking then an overdrive pedal, but not sure what I like best. Have to check out the Tubescreamers, but there's so many to choose from. They made like 20 of them. any help on this issue?

Last, I think reverb or delay. The old Boss pedal did both, now it's just the Reverb. But most amps have reverb, so I'll go with Delay.

Now just what are the most preferred Compressors, Overdrives, Delays? (I'm new at this, so thank's for the help)

hmmmm i have like two lists....
first one is :
1. Boss Blues Driver
2. Delay
3. Wah
and second is:
1.EHX Big Muff
2.Delay
3.Wah
....but I guess i could make compromise with:
1.Ibanez TS-9
2.Delay
3.Wah :D

Ooooh, not going to assume the amp is 'Reverb-less'.

Wouldn't own one.

But to be fair I'l limit myself to just 2.

Ibanez TS-808, Keeley more/less mod w/true bypass
Peterson Strobostomp 2

Love my RetroComp 2.3, VOX V848 Clyde McCoy Wah, Digitech JamMan Looper pedal and even the Marshall GV2 Guv'nor. The Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Octavio Stinks.

But I use the Tubescreamer and tuner more than any others and would replace them immediately and identically if necessary.

And the reverb is always on the Deluxe Reverb and Blues Jr. NOS so that would take 1st place even above the others.

The obvious answer (and probably best choice, IMHO) is the TS9. I have a re-issue and I have never had any problem with it...great tone, cool looks, great pedal.

The re-issue TS808 is a nice choice, but a little more expensive and is tonally a bit "different" (matter of taste) from the TS9.

A cheaper option is the old TS5 Soundtank, but they're getting harder to find and contrary to their name (TANK), they are a bit fragile.

tubescreamer and a wah pedal.
im assuming my amp has reverb, that is the most essential.

Only 3 hum, K, here's my list.

VOX Wah - WahWah
Maxxon OD-9 - OverDrive
Boss RT20 - Rotary Sound Processor
I'll sneak in a Dunlop DC-Brick to power them all from the outlet on a tree, as it's not really a pedal.

That actually pretty well describes my pedal board,
I also have a vintage Ibanex FL-301 - Flanger but it rarely ever gets used anymore.

The three I wouldn't want to have to do without are as follows:

Raidial Tonebone Trimode Classic,
Digitech Hendrix Pedel,
and (Dont' laugh anyone, I have a bad ear) a Boss Tuner.

I know I cheated with the Digitech pedal which does a little of everything, including wah, univibe and echo.
