Hello all,

I've tried my best to scour the forum for a similar thread but have found none. That said, I apologize if this has been addressed elsewhere.

I've been very pleased with the Champion 100 since I bought it about a year ago. I got it mostly for that quintessential Fender clean tone and the fact that it's 100 watts (plenty loud!), but also for its amp modeling capabilities, which I use a lot for recordings.

Over the past 3 months, however, I've noticed some anomalies with the modeling side of the amp. I tend to use the British models a lot and every so often, randomly, the tone will change drastically, as if you were to suddenly turn down the gain knob a bunch. Specifically, I use the "80s British" model a lot. I haven't used a lot of the other models to know if it does this on those as well, BUT I do know that when it's acting up and it seems like the 'gain has been turned down', I'll cycle through the models and I notice that a few of them sound the same. In other words, I'll strum my guitar and select different models and there is absolutely NO change in sound/volume/timbre/distortion, etc. between a select number of models.

I've power cycled it, gone straight in with a different guitar, switched channels back and forth, rotated every knob on the control panel with no affect to identify the problem, let alone fix it. This happens completely randomly and I just don't know what's causing it. I don't have voltage issues at my place. I don't use the amp everyday...perhaps once every week, maybe two. I've left it on for hours to see if that changes anything, but no.

Wondering if anyone else out there has had an issue like this with the Champion 100? Or if you could point me in a new direction? I do like the amp and I don't really want to get rid of it.

Thanks
