I took a bit of a chance with this speaker as I couldn't find any reviews of it in a BJ.

I was after a bluesy tone with more rounded highs and a thick fat tone.

My god it's good!

So perfect for blues and rock I am blown away. The harsh high's have gone which was the main reason I changed it in the first place. At the same time the tone is far from dark/flat (which is how I found the C Rex to be). It isn't even bed in properly yet and I just can't pull myself away from playing through it.

The breakup produced by my TS pedal is to die for now. Searing bends make my hairs stand up on end and make me pull silly faces.

Whats more its only £55

The amp is almost stock, all I had changed a while ago were the pre amp tubes to HARMA.

Thought I would share.

Most amp's original speaker are cheap, any good after market one is a good mod.

+1

Ironically, the amp's OEM speaker is also an Eminence but Fender just can't seem to grasp that their performance specs are NOT what their customers prefer.
