Recently bought a Princeton Reissue and want to start using it at my gigs as my Deluxe Reissue seems to be too much power and volume for the rooms I play. I have a TS9 Tube Screamer, a BOSS DS1, and a Xotic SL Drive. Which one do you think would be the best to use with the Princeton and how would you set it?

Many people might have differing opinions on this, but it all comes down to the one you think sounds best for the type music you're playing. Only one of those I'm familiar with is the TS9 so I couldn't give a legitimate opinion on which would be best. Best thing to do is give them all a run through individually and see what sounds best. If you can record them and listen back when you're not playing it might give you some extra insight.

In the past I've used a TS9 with a Princeton Reverb with excellent results. I'm currently using a Fulltone OCD which -- to me -- provides a little less mud but with similar mid-range bite to the Ibanez. Paul (above) has nailed it: try them all and twiddle the knobs until you find the sweet spot. With the PR though you must keep in mind that its OEM 10-inch speaker will fart out when pushing a lot of compressed bass frequencies at high volume levels so set your EQ controls accordingly.

It's all about personal preference. In a sort of similar vein to what Arjay said, I personally find the TubeScreamer to be rather opaque sounding and maybe even incoherent at times. For a lot of people, that's a good thing but not for me. The TS pedals sell VERY well, just not to me. I have owned them in the past. I very likely won't own them again. I like to hear my guitar. I want the sound of my guitar but with some hair around it. Believe it or not, one of my all time fave OD pedals is the el-cheapo BOSS Super Overdrive SD-1. The OCD also scores good points as it too leaves a substantial amount of the original string tone content intact, albeit in a slightly different way than the SD-1. I have both pedals in my collection and even though neither resides on my pedal board right now because I've been going in a different direction, I will never sell either one. Ever. They are my default, go-to OD pedals for regular duty service.

You pretty much have to decide for yourself what you like.
There is no right answer for the question, "What's best for the Princeton Reverb?"
It's a matter of what's best for you ... with your guitar ... and your amp.
When you change guitars or change amps you might just find that you also change your preference for a pedal too.
In fact, that would be perfectly logical in my mind.

Sorry.
Nobody can tell you what's best.
Lousy.
I know.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
