Hi,
I am completely new to the territory of nice amps and I finally mustered the courage to buy my first head and cab. I got the Super-Sonic 22 Head and the Super-Sonic 60 212 120-watt 2x12 Cab. I was just wondering if anyone could inform me on the correct connection between these two speakers. It it just as simple as connecting the speaker cable from the internal speaker input to the cab or is there a process of setting up more? Sorry if this is a bother, I'm so unfamiliar with this territory. Any feedback is appreciated!

Funny that the head has a "internal " speaker output. Where is this speaker ...?

Ok be serious. With only one cab, use "internal "speaker output.
A second cab will use "external " speaker output.

There is much conversation/confusion about disconnecting the internal speaker jack before plugging the cab in on the forum that I was relayed to above. Can anyone clear the air on the correct directions for those of us less amp-savvy?

When amp is OFF there is no wrong way or good way to plug or unplug a cable between a cab and the amp

Is that what you ask ?

There is no confusion, all Fender tubes amp with internal output speaker jack work the same.
A speaker must be connected there all the time at the internal speaker jack when operating the amp.

then you are failing at using something that is perfectly functional. Maybe you need practice.

Sure. Take a speaker cable (NOT a regular guitar cable. They are different).

Plug one end of the cable into the speaker jack closest to the standby switch. This will be labeled "Internal Speaker".

Plug the other end of this cable into the speaker cabinet.

Proceed to rawk

(Obviously, Fender uses the same rear panels for the heads as they use for the combos. This may cause confusion.)

+1

I believe the amps are identical -- only the cabinetry differs.
