Hi. Newbie here. I've just gotten back into playing my guitars and picked up a Fender FM212R built in the early 2000's. The amp has a broken bass pot switch stem in the Mid Contour circuit. According to the schematic this is a 250k 30C pot which I've just discovered is discontinued. Would anyone know of, or found a substitute for this particular piece? Would anyone have a spare they could part with? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Where do you read is discontinued ?

Any 250 k pot will work if you can fit them; you may use some piece of wire , put a new knob or...but IMO you may find something will work.

Did you look here ?

stratele52 - Thank you for your response. To answer your question:

Fender has posted on their website that part # 0069530000 control, 250K 30C, FM212R is discontinued. A search of supply houses and web sources confirm this. Hence my question on this site. I'm hoping that someone else has encountered this problem and is willing to post their solution. The 250k pot installed in the FM212R is a clip in mini pot with a reversed logarithmic curve, (30C). I will definitely look into the web sites you supplied! :D Thank you very much.

Typical FMIC mentality.

You can get virtually any part at all for a '66 Super Reverb but a simple tone pot for a ten-year old amp is nowhere to be found.

Fender is its own worst enemy.

:x
