Hi, Nubee here. I just purchased a used FM212r which has a broken shaft on the bass mid-contour pot. Fender lists the pot as part #0069530000 which is a 250k 30C pot. Unfortunately, Fender discontinued this part and I can't seem to locate any on eBay, Amazon nor a number of on-line Fender parts suppliers. My questions are: 1) Does anyone know of a substitution or cross reference part number that can be used? and: 2) Would anyone happen to have a used one they would be willing to part with? Thanks for any and all help.

The C suffix means a reverse audio taper. 30 is probably a special taper for fender
CE distribution aka antique electronics has a PN R-VSN-250KC-DS for cheap. It looks like it should fit
Be careful when taking the knobs off that unit. work them up slowly to avoid pulling the shaft through the plastic rotor.

Thank you very much! It so happens I ordered that very part from Antique Electronics. The only difference between the original pot and this one is the shaft shape. The original has a ridged, split shaft and the one from Antique Electronics has a 'D' shaft. I'll have to find a knob that will fit the 'D' shaft. As for the 30, it is indeed the adjustment taper. In this case 50% of the total adjustment occurring in the first 30% of the dial adjust, (number 3 on a 1 to 10 dial).

I'm wondering if I should just install a linear taper and what difference it would make? After all, I just dial the settings to what I like anyway. Any thoughts?

One of these knobs may fit the new pot's shaft......
