Why not simply install another speaker?

Were that my job, I'd tell the client to take his amp home and to not bother me again. I don't need the money that bad and if I can't do the job right I'd rather just not do it all. The world's full of clowns and I don't do circus gigs.

Same deal.

And sooner or later the shmuck will blow that POS up and some other tech will have to break out the broom and dustpan to clean up the mess.

Who needs that $hit?

If I understand what you have written, this client who simply asked me a question would not deserve that I take care of him?

I do not share your opinion

When the POFS blows up (and it probably will) YOU will get the blame. He'll spread the word that your work is shoddy and that you screwed him.

Good luck with that.

Nothing will blow with this Princeton Chorus because no mods can be done for one speaker use.
I always study how to before doing job I never done before.

Thank's

Why don't you just tell the clown to spring for another speaker and fix the goddam thing right?

Stratele, I believe the Princeton Stereo Chorus amp has a direct coupled output. No transformers or buffering devices between output section and speakers.

If you put left and right channel together --- you half the impedance load (if parallel). This could be recipe for problems with the output section of that amp. If you string the two channels in series, you double the impedance and effectively half the output wattage. Which defeats the whole purpose.

Kinda reminds me of a guy, a long time ago, that had a huge SAE amp (like 1000 watts per channel). He thought it could handle two sets of JBL monitors per channel, at the same time. Blew up several output transistors in a spectacular fashion. You can't mismatch output impedance of amp and speaker load --- with direct coupled SS amps.

Best solution is an external cab or more efficient onboard speakers. Proper impedance. IMHO. :D

Solid state never need output transformer.

I never use amp like my client does.
