Hi ! I'm looking to sell my bassman 59' LTD 410 reissue and I need to date it.

I've been googling for an hour now and can't figure the exact year of production and if it has really been made in California. I believe it's an early 2000's ...

DATING CONTEMPORARY FENDER AMPLIFIERS

All Fender amplifiers manufactured from 1990 to the present include a date code, printed on the quality assurance (QA) sticker on the back of the amp chassis. This black-and-silver sticker contains several lines for “sign-offs” on completion of sound and electrical testing. The final line contains a date code of two printed or handwritten letters denoting the amplifier’s production date by year (the first letter) and month (the second letter).

In the table below, for example, a “CE” date code indicates a production date of May 1992.

AFAIK, the '59 Bassman Reissue amps with OEM tube rectifiers were made in USA. The later LTD ones had plug-in solid state rectifier adapters were made in Mexico. A tube rectifier could be subbed for the solid-state adapter.

There are difference in the wood construction of the cab and the treatment of the tweed. Later LTD had bias pot.

I think it's the other way around, Steve. The original re-issue Bassman had the solid-state rectifier module while the LTD version shipped with a GZ34. The LTD also offered finger-joined cabinet construction and the lacquered-tweed covering. Both of them are built in Corona, California.
