I'm wondering if a generic footswitch will work on my Fender Mustang 2 V. 2 amp or do I need to buy a fender specific footswitch. If you could help me it would be much appreciated as I need to know in the next few hours.
Thank you!

Yeah, the fender mustang series is considered VINTAGE, right Arjay?

Smimes, you're in the right place, but there is also a sub-forum just for Fender Mustang amps ==> Link

To answer your question, no, AFAIK there is no generic pedal that will work. If you find one, please let the rest of us know!

Yes, you will get more reliable responses on the Mustang forum.

No, nothing but Mustang foot switches work with Mustangs. Be care as what works with III, IV and V may not get along with a Mini, I or II.

Thanks for listing the different footswitches supported by the different models.

BTW: The Mini did support the same 1-button switch for the I and II to toggle between two presets.

Yes. Easily mistaken for the input jack.

man those look like cool little amps. It's a shame they were discontinued. Maybe I'll pick one up on Ebay one of these days.

It is a neat little unit. I got mine used a couple years ago from GC for $50. Great for traveling, off the grid playing and as a USB interface for mic'less recording.
