I do a mistake forget pin 3, we should work with pin 2 not 3 , bias -7 vdc are at pins 2 of each EL84; do you read it - 7 vdc ?

Sorry

- 7vdc go to C - at C33 on schematic.
C- go to R31, R32 just follow the way to pins 2;

R32 go to R34 by a connector and go to pin 2 of one EL84
R31 go to R33 by a connector and go to pin 2 of other EL84
At each resistor on these paths you must read -7 vdc

Both Cs- are show on this picture

V4 Reads -8.35
V5 Reads 30.43
C33 on one leg reads 0 and the other -8.31
R32 on one leg reads -8.48 and other leg reads 30.20
R34 both leg read 30.55 & 30.80
R31 Both leg reads -8.37 & -8.39
R33 both legs read -8.33 & -8.38

Hope I understood you correctly - these are what I measured

V4 Reads -8.35 ; Pin 2 ? good
V5 Reads 30.43 ; Pin 2 ? do you mean +30 vdc or 30 vac ; WRONG This tube is red plating yes ?

C33 on one leg reads 0 and the other -8.31
0 is the ground, it is filter cap
R32 on one leg reads -8.48 and other leg reads 30.20
Broken wire ( or open restore or short with other component ? )here where is 30 volts

R34 both leg read 30.55 & 30.80 Wrong
R31 Both leg reads -8.37 & -8.39 Good
R33 both legs read -8.33 & -8.38 Good

Hope I understood you correctly - these are what I measured

Strattele52-

Yes V5 is reading 30 VDC and Yes this is the ONLY one Red Plating

I will change R34

I will check r32 for broken wire or check if contacting other component

R34 is good; It receive what the amp send between / at the jonction of R32 and R34.

You have to check, look carefully what in the circuit is "connected" to the jonction to R32 and R34.
Something is there to make a short and bring 30 volts; piece of wire , solder.....

Or something is wrong / short at tube's pin 2, the one glowing. The 30 volts may come from both sides.

Show pictures of the tube's socket with R32, R34, both sides of the circuit board

I suspect solder bridge between tube's pin 2 and another pin.

You guys following this schematic?

http://www.gitaarhobby.nl/gitaar-images ... Manuel.pdf

I see C33 as a high-frequency snubber on the 12AX7 phase inverter? :?:

Did you do this bypass fix? Or a previous owner?

The lead of the red wire is touching onto a tracing. :(

It doesn't appear that the wire should bridge anything but the region of the burnt tracings. IMHO, that was a terrible job. You have more photos of the entire "fix?"

You may end up re-doing another tech's poor patchwork, to get this amp to anywhere near reliable.

Definitely nasty, but yeah she needs to be cleaned up. I'll pull that wire back away from the trace, but I've never heard of that being a problem unless the trace is lifted?

Since the damaged tracing is near V5. And V5 is the problem tube... prolly safe to say the "fix" didn't work. Try to get more photos of the entire circuit board top and bottom. Esp areas where work was done.

Thanks!

Ryan41018, please post pictures on forum, not link.

As Retroverbial and BWM write, this wiring/ jumper job is a piece of junk.
Your redplating may come from this poor job.
Amp need to see a qualified person who know how to solder properly.

Post a photo of all the board
