Sometimes, it's best to actually open it up and look at what is happening while it's happening. I did, and this is what I've found.

I figure either this is the cause of the issue, or a product of it. I hope it's the cause....

Did you check the idle-bias current after installing the new bottles?

Kendrick and WGS also offer some excellent alternatives, as does Weber. The choices among 12-inch drivers are literally limitless.
