I have a 2x12 DV Neo cabinet that I really like running with my BB15 sitting on top for a faux 3x12 sound.

My BB15 has an EXTENSION SPEAKER and MAIN SPEAKER outputs, I have the speaker cable in EXTENSION SPEAKER when I want the 3x12 sound with 4 ohm setting on amp, and I replug the cable into MAIN SPEAKER when I just want the 2x12 cabinet, and switch it to 8 ohms. However I decided recently I wanted to compare these two sounds---but I didn't turn off my amp when i was doing the switching. Recently my volume has been going up/down and I seem to have lost a lot of low-end---- Is this the sign of bad power tubes or output transformer?

I read somewhere that what I was doing with having mismatched impedances for a couple of seconds can be bad for the power tubes and output transformer... I would definitely prefer to just replace power tubes
