Hi all

I have a query regarding the tone controls on the Frontman 212R that I was hoping that you good people here could help me with.

On channel 1 when all three tone controls (Treble, Mid, Bass) are turned all the way down there is no sound produced at all regardless of how high I increase the volume which I understand to be typical of the Fender tone-stack configuration for many amps. However, on Channel 2 which features overdrive, this is not the case and when the 3 tone controls are turned all the way down on this channel sound is still produced and heard, is this normal?

Many thanks in advance.

I believe the amp was designed that way and there is no reason for concern.

Thanks for the reply Arjay, much appreciated.
So are you speaking from experience of having owned this particular amp? I know that some amps do have zero output when all of the tone pots are zeroed but it just seemed strange to me that the 2nd channel on the same amp didn't act the same way.

I played through one for about three years. It behaved as you described until it went to its solid state reward.
