I believe a verdict has been made. I am looking at purchasing the Fender Hotrod Deluxe III over the Marshall DSL 40C.

I hear people Marshallize their Hotrod Deluxe III. Can someone please explain how you do this? What pedals does this involve?

Friend uses a Wampler Plexi-Drive pedal with his TR. Sounds pretty nice.

Thanks BMW2002Ti

Again . . . I love the Fender tone . . . yet I love the Marshall sound too.
I don't think you can get the Fender sort of tone on a Marshall though.

I don't think you can have a Marshall tone without a ...Marsahll amp .

Right speakers help too.

Yes, by all means the Plexi pedal is not going to exactly mimic a real Plexi with half-stack, esp at volume. The pedal does get closer, than a stock Fender amp and simply spinning tone dials.

If I remember right, a Marshall JCM600 has a clean Fender channel with reverb and a Marshall drive channel. Or was that a 900?
You migh check out one of those.
