I just picked up a 2001 Princeton 65 that the guy said only played for about 5 hours and then stored. Looks brand new and sounds great, but the reverb isn't very strong, it works but not that drip known to come from a Fender. If I bump it I don't get the crash. I picked it up on the coast and thinking the salt air may have it way with the springs in the tank. Does the reverb get better with age? Should I try WD40 on the springs? Or just replace the tank?

Not likely -- the tank is somewhat protected in its housing (though not completely air tight).

What might be the cause is salt air corrosion of the cable connectors between the chassis and the tank. Try carefully cleaning them with fine-grade emery cloth then spraying the contact points with Caig De-Oxit.

No WD40 please,

Clean RCA connectors amp side and reverb unit side. Try new wire, home stereo shielded wire work.

Post picture from the amp. It look "rusty" or not ?
