Anyone have early details on this? TechCrunch is reporting that it's coming in 2017, likely at Winter NAMM.

I want to know it it will have a built in looper and drum beats like Line 6's new Spider V series. I want a more modern version of the spider jam, which I'm considering buying.

Doesn't Bluetooth have a lot of latency?

Also known as Not Available, Maybe May.
But I don't think that's what he meant by latency :p

Anyhow, my bigger concern is that Bluetooth is a technology that doesn't stand still. There are plenty of cars on the road with Bluetooth where you can no longer connect your newer phones, because the older cars aren't compatible with the newer phones. Fender's track record isn't good for supporting their older models, so it has a not insignificant risk of becoming unusable within a few short years. But that seems to be what Fender wants: toss, and buy new.

I couldn't agree more. My Blackstar has a 1/4" input they call an MP3 input. This is perfect. Using a 3.5mm to 1/4" adapter, I can then plug in my phone, or a modern Bluetooth adapter, or a Wifi adapter if I want to get fancy. No chance of becoming outdated anytime soon.

Acoustic makes an electric/acoustic amp (Acoustic A1000) http://acousticamplification.com/produc ... ument-amp/ that has built in Bluetooth.
I bought one of these, and the Bluetooth worked just fine...no interference of any kind in sound. But the signal from device sending to amp receiving was no further than 15 feet.

This particular amp DOES have other issues (not related to the Bluetooth).
Tried two of them before I gave up and didn't take my chances on a third one.
First amp I received looked great, sounded great, but the (channel 1&2) Effects display didn't light up 75% of the time---sent it back for a replacement.
Second one had an obnoxious buzz (plugged, un-plugged, didn't matter), and upon messing with knobs as an attempt to trouble shoot it, I found the cause to be a possible loose or shotty solder on the channel 1&2 Frequency pot. Sent THAT one back 30 minutes after I unboxed it, and told them I didn't want a third one.

If Fender DOES put out an amp with Bluetooth capability, I hope they pay attention to EVERYTHING on the amp, and not make the same mistake as Acoustic did.
There ARE some good reviews on the A1000...but I sure as hell didn't find one worth buying.
