My Deville seems to break up early on the clean channel...!!! thought it was the tubes but when i plugged into input 2 the volume went up and it was clean..swapped back to input 1 and its back to being it usual loud and clean..!!! Not sure if there is some sort of intermittent problem with the input sockets..has anyone had this issue? I plan to take it to tech sometime next week hopefully (lil over a 100kms frm where i live..sigh)

Contacts in tube's socket or tubes's pins could be "dirty" , rusty or something like that.
It is happened some times if the amp is not in use for few months or weeks.

Just remove and plug a tube may clean contacts.
You can do that few times to have a better cleaning or use electical contact cleaner.

If the amp work after that, leave it and enjoy
