These things are hilarious! I've heard on before, and dang, they pack a real punch in such a small package. All I have to say is there a real bargain at $200.

Did you try with other tubes ?

Have not tried other tubes yet, I do have a new 12AX7A pre amp tube (groove tube) that I thought about putting in it. If I do I will let you know the results

No ... :-(

Just a pro junior in Tweed version, but i prefer the look of the champion 600 ... a custom shop version, with a bigger speaker to avoid buzz would be cool.

:-)

I picked on of these up over the weekend and I have to say that I'm very pleased with what the little guy is capable of. Toss a little od and reverb in front of it and enjoy an excellent practice amp.

Desperate for a 600. Anyone know if any UK retailers have them in stock now? I ordered one through Thomann a couple of weeks ago as their price was good with a 3 year guarantee but they emailed back saying they don't have a delivery date. :(

I use one for practice and some recording with a Boss FDR-1 in front. Great sound. Gives it a Deluxe Reverb tone. The speaker is a little farty but the sound is great. A bigger speaker would be better, of course, but be careful as the amp runs at 4ohms and finding a good 4ohm speaker is hit and miss. A bigger speaker will not fit anyway so you will have to run it through an extension cab.

It likes to be cranked up. I have some Groove tube 12AX7Cs on hand and a EH 6V6GT to put in, when I get around to it. The stock tubes are very good anyway.

Great fun playing this little guy though 'cause you can get tone without rattling the windows. I also like the retro 2 tone look. This is a great deal for anyone looking for a practice/recording amp.
