I've just got myself this great amp, and the sound is amazing on both normal and Vibrato channels.
I use it with 2 x Orange PPC 12 inch cabs.
I also have a number of pedals OD, Delay, Chorus etc.
I play in a blues band wish shades of jazz, and this weekend will be the first gig with my new amp.
Now here's the thing, I have read that it's best to put the pedals through the Normal channel because they are less effective through the Vibrato channel.
I would like to find out from those of you who use pedals what you think is the best channel, or in fact should I just bin the pedals and use only the amp.

Pedals will be fine through either channel (or both, if you're using a A/B/Y switch).

Congrats, that is a fine amp. I have the head and the combo. I like your last sentence. Many amps can sound good with pedals, but few amps sound as good as a DRRI without pedals. 8)

Just another internet myth. The Vibrato channel has an extra capacitor that functions like the Bright switch on the larger Fender amps. It's actually much less dramatic. The Normal channel doesn't have this cap. The often repeated and believed trope is that the extra brightness makes pedal use impossible, at least in the Vibrato channel. First, there's a knob next to the Volume knob labeled "Treble" which apparently has escaped the Einstein-like perception of many. Second, any effect of this Bright Cap goes away completely once the Volume goes above "4". Third, dear bedroom players, maybe don't sit two feet away from the amp with your face pointing at the speaker.
People read junk on their computers and repeat it willy-nilly, with no actual experience, as if everything they read is real. Clip That Bright Cap! Make Deluxe Reverbs Great Again!
Poop.

Thanks for the replies guys.
As I now play a Strat and an Epiphone Les Paul Trad Pro in my band, the sound with pedals from both guitars is different, principally because of single coil vs humbuckers.
I can get any sound I want out of the DRRI to suit most numbers, but when I use a Tube Screamer with my strat, I get a great sustain for blues solos.
I guess I have now answered my own question which is to get the sound I want by using the DRRI with and without pedals depending on the number played, and as ci use bot guitars on stage to work out which one is best with each number.
Sounds complicated but unless you play live on stage you won't be able to work out the best formula.

I think you'll find that the DRRI (both the combo and the head) offers a lot of sonic versatility, much like all of the dual-channel blackface re-issues.

Many thanks for all your replies. I now play my pedalboard through the vibrato channel as it gives me the option of using the foot switch
