That's a really nice looking rig there.
I considered doing something similar with mine but I did not because it completely negated every reason I bough the amp in the first place.
Small, light, portable.
If the PRRI had been available in 1999 or 2000 when I bought my BJ I would have bought one of those instead.
The PR has always been proof to many folks that it's not always due entirely to physics when a smaller amp sounds "small."
IIRC, I believe the PR was actually Bill Machrone's inspiration & aspiration when he decided to begin developing his BillM Mods.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Hope it's OK to post in this thread, I've posted this pic before, the BJr Head that Fender never made, the Texas Heat loaded cab actually belongs to one of my other amps, so I can mix-n-match.

Nice mini stack, who made the head for you?

Carls Custom Guitars also makes a head and a couple of cabs sizes.

I Agree about the PRRI, it's circuit has a huge Bass response/bandwidth allowing use of a 10" speaker, a size more suited to the cab dimensions without conceding any ground regarding tone, beautiful Fender reverb and higher quality cab build. It's not unheard of for people to try a 12" speaker/baffle in a PRRI and then decide it actually sounded better with it's 10".

With regard to the BJr, In many respects I prefer J.LaGrassa's solution of the larger combo cab. I do think a BJr Head option would be a big seller for Fender though.

The Head cab was made by Peter Mather, a very fine cabinet builder. Another forumite (IM4Tone) put me onto Peter when I saw his BJr head project.

You could've always bought an original Princeton Reverb. They've been available since late 1964.
