Greetings All,

I am the proud owner of a new Princeton Reverb Bordeaux. Of course the tone is the best, compared to my EL-84 and 6L6 amps...well, I guess I'm just a 6V6 kind of guy.

The amp comes with a gorgeous chrome plated foot-switch a chrome foot-switch plug cover, chrome straps on the top (presumably to reinforce the screws that hold the chassis) as well as chrome strap end covers.

I've seen many a Fender (and others, naturally) begin to pit and rust at these places over time. So, what's the best way to keep these looking pristine? Wax? A light coat of gun oil?

Any and all comments and advice are greatly appreciated! As most know, these US made amps are not inexpensive and I would like this to still look brand new in 30 years from now (within reason).

I use Corrosion X, I live close to the GoM and humidity changes daily from 45-95%. I use it on Guns, Fishing Equipment, Guitar Parts, my truck really anything metal you don't want to rust.....Spray/Wipe/ repeat a couple times a year.
