Yes, the Chevelle will increase in value. It’s a classic.
Is the Excelsior a classic? If not it’s value could be based on its mfg., its a Fender amp.

I thought The Pawn Shop Series would continue with more limited run offerings.
Maybe Fender can relic something and offer it as Pawn Shop Series amp.

Arjay,

That Turbo-Hydramatic 400 was one of the best/toughest auto trannies ever made. My Dad used to run an Auto Tranny shop. I'd remember him talking about the engineering of that tranny, during dinner.

pcalugaru lets be honest here, you called everyone who didn't agree with your opinion of this amp "Vintage Fluffers" so you threw out the first jab! You can go to your "Safe Place" now.

Shimmilou is correct if Fender had much faith in the amp design it would still be building it! The amp is what it is, a novelty amp at best and will go down in Fenders amp history as such.

No..........NOT hardly Bud... .

I really hate when people on the internet try to label or reinvent what someone wrote:

A) To be exact.... I called anyone on the internet who looks to bust a guys amp gas... a vintage fluffier. If my description of said individuals hit home. (looks like it did on both counts!!) I have no control over that.

I never referred to anyone specifically... If said individuals took it that way... that's on them...

B) If you actually read my original post (which u didn't..... U where to busy trying to pile on a dead subject.... )

I never said anything about the amp other than.. "if one likes it, and they think it sounds good..." then that's good enough, who care what anyone thinks....

U should take a page out of the parties involved and let this go... I said my piece, they said theirs... anything else is stupid and a waste of time by all...

Including you...

I'm not sure that the THM400 is as beefy as Chrysler's 727 TorqueFlite (the auto they used behind the Hemi, 440 Mag, etc) but it's always been a pretty reliable gearbox in my experience. I've owned several over the years.

Ah yes, the A727. Did they over-engineer trannies in those days, or what? Ppl didn't realized that, until the 1980s and all the funky trannies in the FWD cars. But, I digress.

Here is the comment in question:
pcalugaru wrote:
I wouldn't call the amp cheap, but I'm not going to call it top shelf either. A lot of the vintage fluffers can't identify with that amp so they are going to try to label it. (i.e call it cheap)

Personally I think you're being too sensitive T2.

The "vintage amp aficionados" frequently make similar statements about other forum members, and they are laced with name calling such as "cupcake, douche, clueless, rumpswab, and troll".

No I didn't search through months of threads to find those insults, they are all in this one thread and all directed at one person.

I've never seen a group of internet bullies fold and cry so quickly when they get a taste of their own medicine.
