The treble control on the vibrato channel was acting like a reverse volume control...turn up the treble and the volume goes down. Got that repaired and had all the pots cleaned at the same time.

Had a new set of Mesa Boogie green label 6V6's installed and correctly biased. At first I wasn't too sure about the Boogie tubes (the repair shop/music store is a Boogie authorized dealer) in a Fender amp (yes I know that the early Boogie designs were derived from Fender designs) but they sound great.

Had a better quality speaker cable with a new metal jack installed. That flimsy cable with the plastic jack was starting to give me some trouble.

The amp sounds great and I'm really pleased with the results.

Good to hear you are happy with your amp

Treble pot look it was short to ground.

Mesa Boogie tubes are good tubes and nothing to do with Mesa Boggie Amps new or early desing.
These a rebranded tubes and chance they came from same factory where Fender bought tubes.

+1

Nobody builds anything anymore -- they merely buy products from the same few manufacturing facilities in Russia, Eastern Europe, and the Peoples' Republic Of China.

For anyone interested...

The Mesa Boogie 6V6's still retain that Fender sparkle but I think I hear a bit more midrange. Again, I'm very pleased with the results.
