Greetings All,

Last year I purchased the above mentioned amp slightly used thru eBay and damned if it didn't work just fine on both channels, then one morning (about a month after purchase) after I turned it on, it cackled, cracked, cried then, slight light wisps of smoke thru one of the sockets and ultimately death. I haven't done anything with it yet but I was wondering if these are just seriously unreliable amps and whether or not a schematic is freely available so that when I decide to spend the $$$ to fix it, my tech will be greatly happy.

Thanks in Advance

Any Fender tube amp is worth maintaining. These are not carved-in-stone monoliths. These are high-performance musical instruments with expected maintenance costs..
Do you throw away a guitar because the strings broke?
Chances are, the original power tubes went down and took the screen grid resistor with it.
A new pair of good power tubes and a 25 cent resistor will probable get it up and running again.

By the way, is a schematic available for this amp?

I'm thinkin' he'll need it for service.

IMO, no schematic available yet.

A good tech do not need schematic for service.

A wise tech would insist on a schematic prior to servicing a piece of gear.

If you can have with a clic, why not, but if you can't ?

There are only few different desing for all the amps, you just need few schematics .

The guy who need schematic before servicing a amp is not a qualified electronics tech.

Alternatively, try Google for the schematic: http://bmamps.com/Schematics/fender/Ram ... Manual.pdf
