Yup, you'll notice that the original post is from 2014 but it was never resolved. I guess for legacy purposes I was updating the issue but thanks for the positive and helpful input.

I rode and wrenched on a lot of dirt bikes back in the day. We did a lot of desert riding outside LA.
But my race was Cafe class on a 1974 Yamaha RD400. This was at Orange County raceway where I took 4th that day

All that dirt experience was helpful when I came off the track twice at Willow Springs and rode it out.
But all that is behind me. Now I squeeze performance out of tubes.

I gave up riding after being caught in the middle of bottle of jack and a stubborn tree in my early teens.
I since quit arguing with trees entirely.
