I'm trying to figure out the big differences between the Blues Jr. and the pro Jr. Can you please explain?

Pro Jr 10" speaker, Blues Jr 12" speaker, and the Blues Junior has a full tone stack and a reverb, as well as a boost switch. Pro Junior has fewer pre amp tubes, and only a single tone control.

I've never heard of any pros using a Blues Junior, but Bonnie Raitt, Jeff Beck and Red Volkaert to name a few use the Pro Junior, for what that's worth...

It's a 1-trick pony but it does that trick so well.

It just doesn't sound too "Fender-y" IMO.

Pro Jr does sound more "Fendery" than the Blues jr. though. I had a first issue Tweed Pro Jr. and to me it had a nice clean tone, but it always had just a little bit of the vox chime and a bit of grit to it. Not a Gainy amp by any means. It did take pedals well and a good boost pedal made it a fine practice amp and it had some volume to it! I do think the first issue models in tweed made in the U.S. where very well built too.

I guess you could say it sounds more like a Pignose on steroids and yes,
it does do pedals very well. MI Crunch Box especially.
