Please excuse my terminology if it is wrong as I am not expert in audio electronics but hope the gist of my question will be apparent.

I have read that instead of a variable resistor to control the Mids (like the treble and bass have), the DRRI has a fixed value resistor. My question is...if there was a "normal" tone control for the Mids, what number on the dial would equate to the value of the fixed resistor?

The fixed value of the mid network on most blackface/silverface amps not originally equipped with a variable control usually equates to "6".
