I was just modding my Fender Blues Deluxe, trying to get more treble.

I changed a resistor from 220k to 33k, I have no clue on what it is and what function it has, but the amp sounds great.

I pushed it a little more and lowered it to 22k and I got a squeal at higher treble settings. (8-9)

At 22k, it sounded so good apart from the squealing. Can I remove the squealing with a capacitor or something? Like a filter?

R8 on the Deluxe is 220K
R8 on the Deville is 33K
This cuts the gain of the Deluxe.
The squeal when you changed it is because now it has too much gain for the amp to be stable. Its going into supersonic oscillation at max power, All you hear is a little squeal while your amp is going ballistic.
If you want more treble, you might try piggybacking small caps,<120pF. Its a trick used on 5150s
Smaller coupling caps here and there can also boost treble.

Trying different brands of tubes would be easier and safer for your amp than changing components without knowing their function.

Other brand of tubes won't give more treble.

Ummm ..... yah. They might. I have sometimes noticed a profound difference in the way the amp "EQ's" after a (power) tube change.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Most all guitar tube amp designs I have seen respond to the differences in pre and power tubes. There is a reason different new production and old production tubes demand different prices for the same tube ID.
